Community Benefits

In April 2014, Metrolinx established a Community Benefit Framework and committed to include a community benefits program for the Toronto Transit Projects (including the Finch West LRT).

The Finch West LRT project is the second transit infrastructure project with a Community Benefits Framework, signed by Metrolinx and the Toronto Community Benefits Network.

Mosaic Transit Group commits to working with Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario and the Toronto Community Benefits Network to achieve agreed to objectives.

We will deliver and monitor our contributions to:

  • Equitable economic opportunities
  • Training and workforce development
  • Supporting social enterprises through procurement
  • Community improvements

Opportunities

Mosaic Transit Constructors is a consortium of Aecon, Dragados Canada and Dufferin Construction. Our companies have a history of providing skills development and training in the communities where we work. The Finch West LRT is no exception as we will partner with workforce agencies to provide opportunities to community members and encourage our sub-contractors to do the same.

During design, construction and operations, the Finch West LRT will also provide job, skilled trade and business/commercial opportunities in the community and across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).
